Quibble Lit is a lit mag (print and online) of poetry, prose, and art. We publish quarterly, to the best of our abilities.

We seek work that’s bold and bright, subtle and clever; work that makes us gasp or giggle, wonder or marvel.

Please review past editions and submission guidelines before submitting.

Guidelines

  • Prose: Submit 1 piece of fiction, nonfiction, essay, flash, or hybrid prose up to 2,000 words.

  • Poetry & Art: Submit up to 3 pieces.

  • Bio: Include a short third-person bio.

  • Simultaneous submissions: Welcome. Please notify us promptly if your work is accepted elsewhere.

  • File type: Written submissions should be uploaded as .doc or .docx.

  • Format: Single-spaced, 12 pt, readable font.

  • File name: Please label clearly, ideally LastName_Title.

  • Publication: Selected work will appear on QuibbleLit.com, be shared across our platforms, and be collected in the print edition.

  • Contributor copy: Contributors selected for JUNGLE receive a complimentary print copy.

  • Rights: You retain all rights. By submitting, you consent to online and print publication if accepted. Quibble Lit does not ask for ownership or exclusivity.

We are currently reading for JUNGLE: Volume VIII, scheduled for online and print release in late June / early July 2026.
