Quibble Lit is an indie lit publisher whose mission is to make writing mean more.

  •  We do this by making it feel immediate, rewarding, and exciting again.

  • Quibble is a collective of artists who take risks and curate writing and art which surprises, captivates, and palpates.

What’s Quibble?

We believe that stories, poems, and ideas help people shape culture, and vice versa.

  • We see ourselves as a portal between the two.

  •  Our goal is to wedge a little slice of lit into more people's days.

This is our tiny rebellion, in the battle against the crumbling print industry and the decline of "fun" reading

What We Publish

We publish prose, poetry, and visual art, quarterly, on a print-first-digital-second model.

We champion emerging and established artists, and offer a friendly space to explore voices that provoke discovery. We love variety, originality, irony, and humor.

Why “Quibble”?

Good Question! To quibble is to bicker. We love curiousity, and asking “Why"?”

We believe the spark of curiosity is the compass leading to all discovery, big and small… and one of the best “reasons” for art (if it needs one.)

Quibble is pillared around this spirit of intrigue. Even the most trivial arguments or questions can lead to profound meaning. We’re here to curate captivating specimens of art, share them widely, and promote the spectacular.
